My all-time favourite author is the one and only Mitch Albom along with other authors such as John Green and Rainbow Rowell. I fall in love with every single book written by Mitch Albom. I am sure some of you would know his famous books like Tuesdays with Morrie, The Time Keeper and The Five People You Meet in Heaven. Just saying, if you do not enjoy reading, at least watch the Tuesdays with Morrie movie and multiply how much you like the story by 1000 and that is how much better the book is.
Well back to the book; The Magic Strings Of Frankie Presto by Mitch Albom.
When I knew that this book was available in Malaysia, I was so excited but was let down when I only found the hardcover books that was very expensive and I wanted to get the paperback version that was said to only come a few months later. While waiting, I saved up my money to get this book and I was very happy the day I got my hands on this book. Sadly, I did not have the time to read it immediately as I was busy with school and assignments. Now after more than a year, I finally read this book that was on my TBR List for a long time.
Mitch Albom always puts feelings into each and every book he writes and didn't fail to do so in this book. From the very first page till the last, it was filled with emotions and I can truly say that his stories leave you with something that you can take with you in your life even after closing the book.
In this book, he describes how talent can change a life. This is the story of Francisco Presto, a well known Guitarist and singer. The story was mainly told by the people that were part of Frankie's Life and by Music himself. Frankie was abandoned as an infant and adopted by Baffa when his dog pulled Frankie from the river. Baffa gave him the chance to learn music with his music teacher and after a few years, he was forced into the journey of life with only a guitar and 6 strings that changed his life. After having his time under the spotlight, he realised that his talent is also a burden on him as he found out that the strings were magic and through his music, he can affect the lives of the people around him.
Mitch Albom uses one line again and again in this book which is that "everyone joins a band in this life". This does not literally mean a music band but any group throughout life. As you should know, music has the power to affect our lives. This book has truly been a good read and if you find time, you should read it too!!! I am sure you will love it!!!
I give this book a 10/10.
Thanks for reading this review.

Mid- January Updates....
Hey guys!!! Has it been 17 days into the year already? Wow, that was fast.
So as I said in the earlier blog, I have set some goals to achieve in January and they are to complete my 1000 origami cranes and to read at least 3 or 4 books! Guess what? I am only 75 cranes away from reaching my 1000 cranes and currently reading book 5!! I guess I can say that January is going pretty great for me and hopefully for you too.
For some people, January can be a really tough month and I get it. Most of my friends are having their finals and are having exam stress. All I can say to you guys that are going through the same thing is that life goes on no matter what and hey maybe you didn't do as bad as you thought. As usual, we are all set to feel the worst when we don't do our best in something. There is no rainbow without rain. Just make sure you keep staying positive and cry your heart out if you have to. I shall quote Annie to end today's blog by saying "The sun will come out tomorrow"
Till next time!
xoxo

New Year, New Goals? The 2018 story
So it is 2018 now... It has been almost 2 weeks into the year and surprisingly I haven't seen many people with new years resolutions this year and the few I did had some achievable ones. As usual I don't make any and tend to take on the year the best that I can and get the most out of it as I did in 2017.
This year I am going to join University and I know that I can do a whole lot to improve who I am as a person. Along the way I will make new friends and who knows maybe I will find someone who is good enough for me to call a best friend. You will see that along the year; you and me, will achieve a lot and succeed in achieving another great year in our lives. This does not mean I am saying you won't face any hardship. I can bet that you will but we are all strong enough to overcome it!
As there are so many things that can be achieved, I plan to make a list of things that I would hope to achieve each month for my own satisfaction. For January, I have planned to finally complete my 1000 origami cranes and read at least 3 or 4 books. To this date, I have completed 700 origami cranes and read 2 books so I guess I am all good for this month. Who knows what will happen next month? We shall wait and see.
I hope you guys have the best year full of joy and happiness!!! Achieve what you want !! If there is a will, there is a way right?
